The
City of Portsmouth has been twinned with the city of Caen in Normandy since
1987 and recently the Caen-Portsmouth Friendship Committee has been resurrected.
They are a group of volunteers who aim to actively encourage organisations and
individuals to link with those having similar interests in Caen and to promote a
greater understanding of the customs and culture of the citizens of Caen.
