Portsmouth City Council's cultural services have produced guidelines for residents planning street parties in the city to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, they include advice on:-
- Insurance
- Closing your road
- Publicity
- In the event of an emergency
- Use of barbecues
- Fireworks and bonfires
- Wet weather
- Street decorations
- Intoxicating liquor
- Fund raising for your street party
- Noise
- Litter
Also, for the first 50 applications only, the Council will provide Public Liability Insurance at no cost, so get your applications in quickly!
